Dr Shafer (also known as Bob) has been in practice as a busy Southern California psychotherapist for more than 40 years. Nonjudgmental, open to a variety of perspectives and personalities, he specializes in providing compassionate support to those trying to make sense of life's challenges. Bob received his doctorate at Cambridge Graduate School of Psychology, and is licensed with the state of California as a Marriage and Family Counselor.

His treatment is commonly accepted by multiple insurance providers, though he does not bill them directly. Every client working with Dr Shafer can expect to enjoy a safe, respectful space to explore important insights and an opportunity to work together to not only process painful experiences and memories, but redefine the way forward in a positive, healthy way.
