Services
I began my professional life as a teacher, coach, educational trainer and consultant in Florida and Georgia.
After completing my doctoral studies in Clinical Psychology at the University of Georgia (1994-1999), and clinical training at Duke University Medical Center (1997-1998), I opened a private practice here in Cary.
All told, I have over 30 years of experience bringing out the best in clients of all ages.
In addition to my private practice, I serve as a psychologist with the FMRT Group providing pre- and post-employment evaluations for law enforcement and other public safety personnel, and the Veterans Administration providing psychiatric disability evaluations for military veterans.

I specialize in working with young adults (16+) and adults seeking solutions for anxiety, depression, stress, health and wellness concerns, academic or career problems, relationship issues, and other problems of living.
I also enjoy facilitating clients' personal and professional growth, performance, and quality of life.
The initial consultation is devoted to collecting relevant background information, problem identification, and goal-setting.
Subsequent sessions focus on symptom resolution, problem solving, skill building, support, progress monitoring, relapse prevention, and resilience.
