As a licensed clinical psychologist in private practice in Westchester County, New York, I have over 25 years of experience working with individuals, couples and families to help them navigate a variety of issues and transitions in their lives.
In working with clients who are dealing with depression, anxiety, relationship issues or other areas of difficulty, I believe that each person's story is unique, and I focus on bringing clarity to their experience and helping them to identify and mobilize areas of strength and resilience. In addition, I am a Family Mediator and a Child Consultant in the divorce mediation process.
An important part of the work I do with divorcing couples involves co-parenting counseling to help them forge a new relationship that minimizes conflict and focuses on the needs of their children. I also have extensive training and experience working with individuals who are facing serious health challenges as well as caregivers who are dealing with the stress of caring for a loved one.

Mediation is a voluntary and confidential process that allows people to resolve conflicts in a non-adversarial manner with the help of an impartial third party.
As a Family Mediator, I facilitate discussions with the goal of helping people to come to agreement on issues of consequence for their family.
My role includes clarifying the important issues to discuss, helping individuals understand and express their underlying interests, managing the emotions that may escalate and detract from the process, and guiding the conversation toward understanding and resolution of the conflict.

Developing an effective co-parenting relationship is one of the most challenging and important issues facing divorcing couples.
At a time when there is likely to be conflict, anger and hurt, it can be difficult to stay focused on the wellbeing of the children and to form a new relationship that centers around the "business" of parenting.
Yet we know from research that children of divorce do better when conflict is minimized and when parents are able to cooperate early on in the process to talk to their children and develop effective parenting plans.
