Bay Area Psychology & Counseling is a recent expansion of the private Mobile, AL clinical psychology practice originally founded in 1972 by John W. Davis Ph. D. We offer mental health care services to children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients. These services include counseling to learn to accommodate and overcome issues that negatively affect one's life, and wellness strategies for greater quality of life and fulfillment.
We also provide psychological and neuro-psychological evaluations to assist healthcare professionals with patient treatment planning and diagnostic information. In addition, we aid qualified case representatives in legal situations, as well as HR professionals in employment matters, by providing them with required information related to issues of competency, suitability for employment, or domestic inquiries.

John Davis came to Mobile in 1972 to work as an assistant professor at University of South Alabama while he started his private practice, which opened in June of 1972.
In 1975, his private practice replaced his university affiliation in priority, and he has now practiced psychology for over 40 years!
John completed his Ph.
D. at University of Georgia and his internship in Clinical Psychology at the VA Hospital in Miami, Florida.
He was an active faculty member in the Department of Psychology at University of South Alabama from 1972 until 1981; he remains on the faculty as an adjunct professor.

Courtney Nall-McCulley is a newly practicing licensed counselor serving the Mobile community.
Her practice includes providing psychotherapy for children and adolescents ages 3 to 18, adults, couples and families as well as psychological testing services beginning at age 6. Courtney completed her graduate degree in Marriage and Family Counseling at the University of Mobile and her undergraduate degree in Psychology at Spring Hill College.
She is a member of the American Counseling Association and is an Associate Licensed Counselor in the state of Alabama.
