Dr. Sheikh is a Licensed Psychologist and a Health Service Provider. She is licensed by the States of North Carolina and New Jersey. Dr. Sheikh received her doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. She has been a mental health provider in various settings including a community mental health center, college counseling centers, long-term care facilities and private practice.
Dr. Sheikh has 15+ years of experience in working with a wide range of mental health issues. She is skilled in providing treatment for depression, anxiety, trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder, mood disorders, relationship issues, including divorce and separation, grief, loss, self-esteem issues, change of life issues, etc. Dr. Sheikh works with adults, couples, adolescents, and the elderly.
Dr. Sheikh is not a Christian Counselor, however, she is a very strong believing Christian and runs her practice based on strong ethical values and principles.
