Depression, fear, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives. Through counseling and treatment, we are able to help you recover motivation, perspective, and joy that you once had in your life. Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances.

Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger post traumatic events. We can help you overcome these symptoms and guide you through the process of grief and healing.
Services
When pain medication alone or medical interventions aren't enough to reduce pain to a tolerable level, an evidence-based cognitive-behavioral therapy approach to pain management provides education and proven strategies to improve functioning.
The comprehensive program consists of 11 segments that include education about chronic pain, theories of pain, stress management and relaxation techniques, role of automatic thoughts and pain, cognitive restructuring, time-based pacing, pleasant activity scheduling, anger management, sleep hygiene and relapse prevention and flare-up planning.
As a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Dr. Knowles has a mission to provide state-of-the-art, proven, evidence-based psychological interventions.
These interventions are backed by research and typically involve education and active participation by those desperate for change in their lives.
Through treatments such as Cognitive-Behavioral therapy (CBT), Dr. Knowles explains that positive and negative thoughts about an event determine the emotional response to the event, ultimately affecting how we respond to various situations.
