Anxiety, depression, life transitions, or challenges in your personal or professional life can leave you feeling drained and overwhelmed. Managing and figuring out these challenges is not something that you need to do on your own. You may have tried to tough it out, or received well meaning advice from friends and loved ones that has fallen short.

These strategies may leave you still feeling anxious, depressed, overwhelmed, and drained in your life. Therapy is an effective way to help you gain better understanding of yourself and to create tools to help overcome the negative feelings and challenges that are impacting your life. I welcome the opportunity to work with you to begin putting your unique tool kit together and moving towards a more meaningful and fulfilling life.

I'll work with you in a non-judgmental, collaborative, and supportive way. With empathy, warmth, and humor, I'll bring my knowledge and extensive experience into our work together, and tailor your therapy to you. When we meet, I think you will find I'm down to earth, clear, and compassionate.
Services
For therapy to be effective, it is important to have an authentic connection with your therapist.
I have included my background and experience that could be helpful to see if there is an initial connection.
Prior to my current practice, I have had an amazing (and challenging) opportunity to live and work overseas for 7 years, which allowed me to more deeply understand and more effectively help people with the challenges of life transitions.
My approach is collaborative, we will work together as a team.
I have been providing teletherapy sessions since 2017 and have found the experience to be positive and beneficial.
Remote therapy can work well for people who have busy schedules, limited time/access to get to the office, or have relocated overseas.
What do sessions look like?
Just like an in-person appointment, it will be a 50 minute appointment.
The first few sessions will be focused on personal history and setting therapy goals.
I work from Cognitive Behavioral Framework (CBT) and use visual images and collaborative problem solving just like I do in office sessions.
Your privacy is a top priority for me.
I understand that confidentiality and protecting your privacy is necessary for you to feel comfortable and trust therapy.
I am professionally, legally, and ethically bound to maintain your privacy and confidentiality.
I will not acknowledge or disclose to any outside parties that you are currently or have been in therapy, unless you authorize me to do so in writing.
I personally handle all phone and email communication; no one else will handle any communication for my practice.
Because I am a licensed health care professional, my session fees qualify for coverage by most insurance companies as an Out-of-Network Provider.
My fees are within what is considered a "usual and customary" (UCR) range.
I am happy to provide an itemized monthly invoice that can be used to submit for reimbursement from your insurance provider.
I'm also glad to answer questions you might have about this process.
Most of my clients find it to be much simpler than it might appear.
If you plan to seek insurance reimbursement, I recommend you contact your insurance provider to inquire on Out-of-Network coverage that you may be entitled to claim for direct reimubursement.
