An Educational Psychologist provides an array of services, which includes but not limited to the following: diagnosis of psychological disorders related to academic learning processes; conducts psycho-educational assessments for the purposes of identifying special needs; develops, consults, and coordinates treatment programs and interventions with educators and parents to address a child's social, behavioral, and academic challenges.
It may be frustrating for parents and students when learning becomes challenging. Poor grades and slow academic progress can lead to low self-esteem and self-confidence in children and a sense of helplessness in parents. A psycho-educational assessment can help find solutions to a child's learning challenges.
