These evidence-based neuropsychological tools give us a 360-degree view of your child's strengths and weaknesses. We tend to take more time than the industry standard on the evaluation process itself. We believe that we need to understand not only how a child functions within a particular area but why. That is critical to developing accurate, specific treatment plans.

Every child is unique, as is his/her situation. While the evaluation is led by a licensed clinical psychologist, we also bring in associated professionals, (for example, a speech therapist, a learning disabilities specialist or an occupational therapist) when needed. In short, we gather the best team of professionals that will allow us to understand your child - in the most compassionate way possible.

But, in the end, we never forget that we're all working together toward our ultimate goal: your child's well-being.
Services
Dr. Jeffrey O'Koon is the Clinic Director of O'Koon Psychology Group.
After the initial clinical interview, Dr. O'Koon will work with your family to determine which other team members should also participate in your child's evaluation.
Dr. O'Koon is a clinical child psychologist who brings an evidence-based approach to his work.
He applies proven protocols and gold standard practices to the delicate art of evaluating a child's psychological, behavioral, educational, and social development.
Evaluations are the cornerstone of all that we do, because they allow us to reveal and clarify the child's issues/problem(s).
Only then can we understand exactly what requires treatment and what the best course of action will be.
Special education advocacy and legal involvement, including mediation and Due Process hearings.
O'Koon Psychology Group recognizes the benefits of obtaining specialized training in child and adolescent neuropsychological evaluations as a graduate student pursuing a career in working with youth and their families.
OPG provides students with a challenging and supportive experience in the development of assessment and diagnostic skills.
Examiners will have the opportunity to become knowledgeable about, and proficient in, the administration, scoring, and writing of assessment measures in the following areas: intellectual functioning, attention, executive functioning, language, memory, processing speed, visuospatial processing, and social/emotional functioning.
O'Koon Psychology Group (OPG) is seeking a licensed or license-eligible pediatric neuropsychologist to join our rapidly growing practice.
OPG is dedicated to providing comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations for children and adolescents in a multidisciplinary setting.
Candidates should have experience and a strong background in completing neuropsychological evaluations with a pediatric and adolescent population.
Experience attending school meetings and understanding of school services is encouraged.
Since a personal approach is so important when your child or teen needs help, the clinical psychologist will meet to review your concerns, discuss relevant history, a talk about the process, including how to present it from a 'strengths' perspective to your child.
If your child is an older teenager, he/she will be included in the process.
This is where we can discuss the child's needs, as well as medical, developmental, educational information and history.
We begin with an interview with a parent or parents.
