Cognicare Psychological Services is comprised of a team of caring, knowledgeable and experienced therapists with an array of specializations. We treat children, adolescents, and adults who are experiencing mental health strains and/or those working to gain a deeper self-understanding through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. We also provide both couples and family therapy.

We are a local group mental health practice that provides individual therapy to adults, children/teens and couples through cognitive behavioral therapy (check out our website for info on CBT).
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, or CBT is a short-term, problem-focused form of behavioral treatment that helps people see the difference between beliefs, thoughts and feelings, and free them from unhelpful patterns of behavior.
CBT is grounded in the belief that it is a person's perception of events - rather than the events themselves - that determines how he or she will feel and act in response.
Most people with clearly defined behavioral and emotional concerns tend to reap the benefits of CBT.
There are many factors that motivate people to seek therapy.
