One consideration might be social anxiety. Some children show signs of it in infancy. Others never meet a stranger, then during the early school years something happens and they seem to become very timid. Even frozen in a group of people. And it's hard for a child. in fact, it's hard for anyone. It interferes with school attendance, confidence to perform publicly, making friends, and "fitting in."

Anxiety isn't a sign of cowardice, or weakness, but rather the result of something happening in the child's brain. Sometimes medication can be helpful, but first, the child needs a workup to determine any unseen factors. Then counseling with the child and parents to help him feel safe initially. With holistic mental health treatment strategies we'll work with you to create a plan that includes our services, the family, and teachers.

Begin by calling now for an appointment, and meet with our social worker for a workup. Then, we'll develop a plan of care together for improved confidence, self-assurance, and better functioning in school and at home.
Services
When you're not feeling like yourself, when your behavior surprises you and those who love you, and when you need real help to find the best version of yourself possible, you sometimes have no idea where to turn.
Why?
Because you have so many facets to your life and need personalized holistic psychiatric care.
An empathic team who cares about your struggle, your pain, and your family and is committed to helping you improve your life.
We analyze every factor that could contribute to your current condition and draw from all aspects of your environment and personal views in life to find a personalized solution for you or your child.
She'll sit with you and take a thorough history of your health issues, your family's health issues, and your home environment.
At that point you can schedule an appointment for your psychiatric consultation service with Dr. Madaram to begin to sort out the specifics of your situation or condition, and form a treatment plan together with him.
We may agree upon sessions of individual psychotherapy, couples counseling, or a specific mode of therapy called cognitive behavior therapy.
If medication is needed as part of treatment, Dr. Madaram's training in psychopharmacology equips him to prescribe the best options for you.

We accept only a few patients per day, so we can dedicate time to evaluate each patient comprehensively in a holistic fashion, Each patient will receive a needs assessment evaluation by the social work staff initially and then the case is discussed with Dr. Madaram to present the best course of action.
Dr. Madaram completed his medical school education in India.
Then, he received training at Lincoln Medical Center in New York for his Psychiatry Residency.
And finally earned a Fellowship in Child Psychiatry at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia.

In his role as an adult, child, and adolescent psychiatrist, his treatment philosophy focuses on a holistic approach to addressing the patient's overall situation.

You have a job, a boss, and co-workers.
They rely on you to perform at your best.
