My goal as a psychotherapist is to help you increase your happiness and satisfaction with your self, your relationships and your life, while decreasing any symptoms you may be suffering. I am interested in your inner life and outer life. With these insights we can look for the conflicts and issues that are hurting you, and work toward their resolution.

Equally important is knowing and enhancing your strengths and support systems which can be deployed to assist in your therapy and your life. By increasing awareness of long-standing patterns and personal perceptions, family experiences and current situations we can find ways to relieve the pain, address the causes, and increase the balance and joy in your life.

I am an awareness based, solution focused, cognitive-behavioral and psychodynamic therapist whether the issues are emotional, relational or circumstantial. I am interested in how you think and feel, how you experience your life, and the issues that are causing problems. Our work together will include meaningful conversation, feedback, coaching, encouragement of self awareness, and ideas of things to work on between sessions.

My approach provides support, practical feedback, skills and mindfulness development to help you effectively address the challenges you are facing.
I also encourage relevant work between sessions, and engaging in activities that support you.
These are tailored to your interests such as writing, music, art, dance, gardening, exerise, or something new.
MINDFULNESS - Nonjudmental Awareness that allows you to become more conscious and wise about who you are, your unique styles, and personal dynamics.
This can create transformative insights that have been lurking below the surface.
It can also be used as a more formal meditation practice with it's multitude of benefits for your mind and body.
JOURNALING - Try stream of consciousness journaling.
Just write whatever words are in your head.
You can write the same thing over and over, or ramble all over.
A receipt will be issues which can be submitted for reimbursement from your insurance company in the amount designated by your policy.
Services may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance or employee benefit plan.
While I do not take insurance directly I will provide you with a Superbill that you can send to your provider for reimbursement in accordance with your individual plan.
I will also provide any other treatment information should your insurance company request it.
If you do not show up for your scheduled therapy appointment, and you have not notified us at least 24 hours in advance, you will be required to pay the full cost of the session.
