My counseling practice has shifted to Telehealth only. We will meet securely via computer or phone. No downloads or installations are required. My schedule is currently undergoing some changes; the best way to schedule is to call or email me at this time. My online schedule will be open again soon. Taking the steps toward improving your life through psychotherapy can be scary or challenging, and the process of finding the right therapist for you can be daunting.

You have already taken the first step! Your journey in life is unique. The challenges you face are your own, but it doesn't mean you need to suffer them alone. It sometimes takes courage to ask for help. Whatever your story, I hold a space of compassion and appreciation for you and your desire to improve your life. I would be honored to assist you on your path of healing, and growth toward more peace and wellness.

I offer free phone consultations to answer any questions you may have about counseling with me. This call allows us to get a sense if I am the right fit to support you in reaching your goals.
Services
I first felt a call to the counseling field during high school, with a desire for purpose and helping others.
I earned my BA in Psychology at UC Santa Cruz, and then graduated with my MA in Counseling Psychology from John F. Kennedy University in 2009.
I was especially drawn to the holistic program, and a therapeutic approach that sees the Whole You, not just how you might fit into any particular textbook theory.
I began seeing clients in 2008 and fell in love watching my clients blossom out of stressful situations through our work together.
I provide counseling and psychotherapy services to individuals, couples, and families on a variety of issues, concerns, stressors, and growth opportunities.
Life is a unique experience for every one of us.
Therefore, there is no one solution to treat the discomforts and challenges we face, even if the conditions or symptoms are the same.
This is what makes the therapeutic relationship so important, and why I work with you and tailor your treatment accordingly.
Healing is an organic and dynamic process, and your needs may change over time.
When many people hear "psychotherapy", they still have the image of Freud analyzing someone's words as they lay on a couch, however this is rarely the process today.
While talk therapy has it's place, it is certainly not the only way of working, and often not as efficient.
Hakomi can 'bypass' the analytical logic approach we often default to on our own, and get to some of the core in an experiential way, rather than following the rabbit holes that 'figuring it out' can take.
In my own personal experience, I knew why certain events in my life made me unhappy.
This means the process of recovering from divorce can take much longer than the legal process of divorce.
Many are able to achieve a sense of normalcy and stability quickly, with some of these nuances not showing up for years, until they create challenges in new relationships.
Having support to heal these issues and keep them in awareness can minimize pain and struggle and contribute to greater freedom and healthier relationships as you move forward in life.
You do not have to navigate these challenges alone.
All appointments are virtual, in the comfort of your own home.
The video chat platform can be accessed on computer or phone and should not require any downloads.
While virtual counseling removes commute time, I recommend factoring in some time to transition from prior tasks to your session.
Use the restroom if you need to; perhaps take a few moments to sit quietly with your eyes closed and listen to what you want from session.
This gives the best care for your emotions, and helps us make the best use of the time dedicated for your personal well-being!
