Linden Psychotherapy
I particularly enjoy working with people who struggle with self-doubt and I have additional expertise in treating body-focused repetitive behaviors, including trichotillomania and dermatillomania. I specialize in psychodynamic therapy based on depth psychology and existential philosophy but in practice I draw from different theoretical frameworks, including cognitive-behavioral models, depending on the needs and goals of each patient.

My approach is warm and collaborative. I welcome patients located anywhere in Connecticut or Massachusetts for confidential, secure teletherapy.
Services
I am licensed as a clinical social worker, with additional degrees in psychology and philosophy.
I received my graduate degree from New York University and completed a post-graduate fellowship at Yale University.
I have experience practicing in different settings, including in community clinics, treating people with acute mental illness; in a therapeutic school, working with young people with emotional or social difficulties; in a hospital, supporting people with cancer diagnoses or at the end of life; and at a local university, teaching psychology.
My current fee for weekly sessions is $180-200 per 60-minute session.
If your insurance coverage includes out-of-network benefits, it may cover most of my fee, while you will be responsible for the difference.
Often, the difference is similar to an in-network copay.
Some insurers allow me to bill them directly, just like an in-network provider.
If you wish to use your insurance coverage, please call your insurer and find out the details of your specific coverage before scheduling the first consultation.
My office is within walking and biking distance of downtown New Haven and Yale University.
It is located on the 228 and 229 public bus lines and at the Whitney/Cottage stop on the free Orange, Blue, and Yellow Yale shuttle lines.
By car, the office is close to exit 4 off of I-91S or exit 5 off of I-91N.
Free parking is available in the building's own parking lot, with entrances from both Whitney Avenue and Cottage Street.
Please enter the building through the Whitney Street entrance.
Please note that although my office is located in the building owned by Yale University's Department of Psychiatry Consultation Center, my practice is private and autonomous, and I have no clinical affiliation with The Consultation Center.
