David E Myers, PhD
Dr. David E. Myers Has Decades of Experience in Psychotherapy and Relationship Counseling. Psychotherapy sessions that will help you understand the pain; as well as take steps to reduce the pain. Interactive psychodynamic therapy to treat your depression, anxiety, PTSD, and many other mental health conditions. You may be experiencing emotional conflict, depression, post-traumatic stress, relationship issues, life dissatisfaction, or you may be looking to satisfy a nagging yearning.

Our counseling sessions will enable you to heal, reduce emotional pain, find peace of mind, contentment, and joy in living. Our work together will enhance your aliveness and give you the freedom to make new choices. By working on the emotional/spiritual/mental aspects of your personality, you can change your life path. Anxiety tends to permeate the above conditions subconsciously or consciously.

These experiences arise for many reasons. As a psychotherapist, I look for all the triggers that may cause anxiety, and then change the effect of those triggers through understanding and exposure.
Services
David's training is in experiential psychotherapies such as gestalt, bioenergetics, psychomotor, and psychodynamic therapy.
This training came in the early stages of his career as he realized the depth and intensity of people's life stories.
More specifically, this highlighted his sense that what happens to us experientially remains with us.
Clearly, each of us is affected by our past experiences.
The so-called unfinished business these experiences leave behind is a "determinant" in our behavior.
Being in a relationship is like a test; a test of how you treat yourself, and how you treat others with whom you are intimate.
There are three essential elements; you, your partner, and the feelings/energy/spirit between you.
Therefore, you must take care of and nurture the relationship in a balanced way while asking your partner to do the same.
Marriage and relationship counseling has the potential to be a wonderful growing experience, albeit with a number of challenges.
When relationships are not working, couples either seek out individual help so that they can nurture themselves, or they might focus on the dynamics of the relationship.
Chief of Child Development Unit at Children's Hospital and Professor at Harvard Medical School.
The following is feedback I received for the manuscript of my book Heartful Parenting.
I am deeply grateful for the acknowledgement and appreciation Dr. Berry Brazelton, Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School, had for my work.
His words reinforced my theories on emotional intelligence and my commitment to strengthening the relationships between parents and their children.
A couple of months ago, Dr. Myers sent me his book to review and I promised him I would review it in my August Parenting Newsletter.
Living in a world burdened by new and persistent problems of family, work, and life in general, it does not come as a surprise that mental health issues have become widely pervasive amongst our generation.
It's not uncommon to feel a tad bit anxious before a significant moment in your life; this may include a big presentation at a corporate seminar, or preparing to propose to your loved one, or starting a new job.
However, there is also the anxiety that doesn't leave, that seeps into your everyday routine, and keeps you from living your life normally-that's problematic, and should never ignore it.
Dealing with depression is never easy.
The more aspects of your life that trouble you, the more challenging it gets to stay self-assured.
You don't have to go through it alone.
It's also important to not ignore the symptoms of your depression.
You may have been told that it's just stress or grief, and that you will be fine if you just "think positive."
That is not true!
Being extensively trained in experiential psychotherapy techniques, and having worked with reputed professionals in the field of depression treatment, I can provide personalized therapeutic help to you-one step at a time.
