Dr. Arnold Abels received his PhD in counseling psychology from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2001.
He is a Missouri Licensed Psychologist.
His professional interests include diversity and multiculturalism, men's issues, crisis intervention, and physical disability.
He has worked extensively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Trained as a generalist, he works with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety/stress, mood disorders, trauma, issues related to physical disability, grief/loss, identity development, family and relationship issues, and spirituality.

Located in the Brookside/Waldo area of Kansas City, Missouri, our office at 222 West Gregory Boulevard is easy to find and is easily accessible from most parts of the greater metropolitan area.
We are located in the Arvest Bank building with many other types of businesses and professional offices.
On the corner of Wornall and Gregory Boulevard (71st Street), our office is on metro bus lines.
There is ample parking on the north side of the building and there is an access ramp on the South side of the building (facing Gregory) where on-street, handicapped parking is available.

She will call to briefly discuss your particular situation and needs.
She will determine which therapist in our group would be best in assisting you with your particular circumstance and scheduling requirements.
You will then receive a call from that therapist to schedule your first appointment.
You will also need to bring your drivers license or picture ID as well as your insurance card(s), if applicable.

You may revoke this Agreement in writing at any time.
That revocation will be effective the date the revocation is received at our office except if there are obligations imposed on us by your health insurer in order to process claims made under your policy; or if you have not satisfied your financial obligations.
