Dr. Mendoza received her PhD in Counseling Psychology from Loyola University of Chicago, Illinois. She has been licensed as a Psychologist in Louisiana since 1986. Dr. Mendoza has served as Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Neurology at Tulane University Medical School. She is currently a Clinical Instructor of Psychiatry in the department of Psychiatry and Neurology at Tulane Medical Center.
Previously, she was the consulting psychologist for Serenity Hospice. She has made appearances on television, radio and has had articles published in professional journals as well in local media. She has spoken nationally to health care providers and community groups. She is the author of "We Do Not Die Alone." Although I'd had general therapy during my lifetime, recently we had an unexpected death in our family and I was truly devastated.
I was referred to Dr. Mendoza as someone who specializes in grief and dealing with loss. I am so blessed to have been assisted by her.
