Beverly Hills Psychiatry
To hear a patient say, "I finally feel like myself again, thanks to you, " is a reminder, not only of the immense suffering that people contend with every day, but also the huge inroads that medical and mental health professionals have made to alleviate the symptoms of suffering and to assist their patients in building more fulfilling and satisfying lives.

Since 2006, Joseph Gulino has worked with adults, adolescents and children who pursue psychiatric treatment for a wide variety of disorders, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, substance abuse, ADHD, pediatric behavioral problems, and autism. This collection of articles addresses some of the pressing concerns that patients and parents continue to face.
Services
Beverly Hills Psychiatry was established in 2012 to promote psychiatric wellness and healthy functioning in patients dealing with a wide variety of disorders and conditions.
It was founded by psychiatrist, Joseph Gulino, M.D., in order to address the needs of adults, children, and adolescents in the greater Los Angeles area.
Dr. Gulino has been a practicing psychiatrist since 2006, and specializes in anxiety disorders, depression and bipolar disorders, substance abuse, ADHD, behavioral disorders in children and adolescents, and autism.
Signs of autism manifest early in childhood, with at least some indication of the disturbance before three years of age.
Autism is characterized by abnormal social interaction, impaired communication, and restricted repetitive and stereotyped behaviors.
Sometimes, parents are first alerted to the possibility of a disorder when the child is an infant.
Parents may initially attribute the infant's lack of responsiveness and failure to reciprocate social interaction to deafness.
Today there are many resources for children with Autism, as well as for parents who want to assist and support their children.
Attention Deficit/Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD) is a prevalent and debilitating condition that affects up to 8% of the population.
Fortunately, there are effective treatments that alleviate the symptoms and enable those who are diagnosed with it to live highly successful lives, minimizing any trace of the disorder.
Typically, stimulants are the first line of treatment to promote optimal levels of functioning.
As research continues to reveal the significant benefits of ADHD medication, patients and parents naturally become interested in the expected outcomes, the potential short-term and long-term side effects, and whether or not physical dependency should be of any concern.
What conditions do you treat?
I work with patients who experience a wide variety of psychiatric disorders, impairments, and challenges.
In particular, I treat patients with anxiety disorders (such as generalized anxiety, OCD, post-traumatic stress, panic attacks, and phobias), mood disorders (such as depression and bipolar disorder), eating disorders, substance abuse, ADHD, autism, and behavioral disorders in children and adolescents (such as oppositional-defiant disorder and conduct disorder).
