I am a licensed psychologist providing psychotherapy to adults of all ages in Cambridge, Massachusetts. I offer a supportive and safe environment in which patients can be optimally challenged to transcend their previously held beliefs about their own limitations. My patients are true partners in therapy and active in their own healing. I genuinely believe that everyone who steps foot in my office has enormous potential for growth, love, freedom, creativity, and fulfillment.

I use Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP) to help individuals take an honest look at the feelings and experiences they have not been able to shed, so that they can finally move beyond them and live the life they want. This mode of therapy is highly active for both patient and therapist, making the treatment quicker and also giving patients the honest sense that they are the driving force of the treatment.

In general, I tend to work from an Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP) approach.
This model helps individuals take an honest look at the feelings and experiences that they have not been able to shed, so that they can finally move beyond them and live the life they want.
ISTDP is rapidly effective, and oftentimes patients say they get more out of the first session than they have in years of previous therapy.
I frequently hear patients describe the deep sense of meaning, freedom, and purpose they have in their lives after treatment.
Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy, or ISTDP, is a revolutionary approach to psychotherapy that offers rapid relief from suffering, abatement of symptoms, and a comprehensive understanding of the self.
ISTDP is a short-term therapy, often lasting only a few months.
ISTDP was developed by Dr. Habib Davanloo, MD, emeritus Professor of Psychiatry at Montreal General Hospital and McGill University Faculty of Medicine.
Dr. Davanloo created ISTDP as a reliable method for compassionately handling the resistances, both conscious and unconscious, that can occur within each of us to looking at our true feelings and the origin of our symptoms.
Because ISTDP is designed to be a short-term therapy, it has been shown to save patients thousands of dollars per year compared to other therapy methods which require a long-term commitment to achieve comparable results.
For my patients, this means a comprehensive and effective treatment that saves them both money and time.
I am an out-of-network provider for insurances.
Those with an insurance that offers out-of-network benefits may be able to receive reimbursement for sessions.
I will provide you with a master bill, which has the necessary requirements so that you can receive reimbursement for services.
