You may feel disconnected from your body and out of balance, always afraid of letting people down.
Life has become a burden, and you just can't seem to feel happy or carefree like you used to.
While picking up all the anxiety triggers going on around you, you may start isolating yourself or feel like you're losing connection.
You might be thinking of the worst scenarios and catastrophizing.
According to the National Alliance on Mental Health (NAMI), Anxiety disorders are the most common mental health concern in the United States.
Plus, are you worried about the potential consequences if you lose control of your symptoms?
Do you wonder why you "just can't get it together" or fear that something is wrong with you?
In general, do you wish you had a compassionate shoulder to lean on and some positive encouragement?
In truth, bipolar mood swings are powerful and confusing.
They may have driven some of your worst decision-making in the past and likely tested your relationships.
With that said, you many feel you are at a disadvantage in every aspect of your life.
Maybe your child has had a sudden drop in grades, loss of interest in activities or is expressing thoughts of suicide.
Maybe your child has withdrawn, preferring to be alone or is hearing voices.
Are you wondering how you can continue to co-parent harmoniously through yet another explosive, inconsolable, violent, loud outburst or another sleepless night?
It is common for parents to feel lost when finding the right therapist especially in Boulder were the choices are overwhelming.
You are wanting to make sure you find someone both you and your child can trust, but not sure where to start.
In an attempt to avoid sources of stress and sadness, you may isolate yourself further.
But that social isolation and distancing has left you feeling even more alone and misunderstood.
Without healthy coping skills, you may begin to experience an increase in panic attacks or phobias.
Coupled with physical depression symptoms-such as constant stomach aches, headaches, and chronic fatigue.
Many people feel too physically and emotionally exhausted to even think about treatment, let alone commit to depression therapy.
I provide a safe and accepting environment regardless of sexual, gender, cultural or spiritual orientation.
I emphasize creating a culturally sensitive environment and am LGBTQ friendly.
In addition to providing a supportive environment, to ease your PTSD symptoms, I can help you learn and use new coping skills and mindfulness techniques.
By acquiring these positive coping skills, you can learn to manage and respond to stress in a more healthy way.
In a way that may be unique for you, my body-centered approach can help you develop the ability to listen to your body in order to understand what is a real threat and what is past trauma.
