If your relationship has hit a rough patch, let's work together to find ways to smooth things out so you can once again live your life as a loving and caring couple. Discover how to overcome your fears autonomously, without being dependent on permanent external help. The ultimate goal is to have you recognize your own self-healing powers and find your confidence once again.

If you're a member of the LGBTQ community and are facing issues either related to your identity or not, let me provide the help and healing support you need to create a positive outlook on your life. Helbich is a wonderful therapist and person in general, and I highly recommend him for anyone seeking to improve their emotional and mental health.
Services
As a classically trained NYC psychotherapist, psychoanalyst by training and Clinical Supervisor, I've been working in Manhattan for the past 10 years, helping individuals, couples and families gain a new and more positive attitude in life.
I am especially understanding and successful working with members of the LGBTQ community.
In addition to my private practice, I have worked both in inpatient and outpatient settings.
I also guest lecture at John Jay College NYC for the department of Psychology with the topic "Recovery, AA and Twelve Step Programs".
During this life threatening Corona pandemic, social distancing, self-isolation and sometimes quarantine have become essential.
In order for patients and therapists to stay healthy, Tele-and Video sessions have replaced in-person-sessions.
My extensive experience with Virtual Therapy has started years ago as many of my clients often travel domestically and internationally and they don't want to interrupt their progress.
They have a choice to use FaceTime, WhatsApp, Skype, Zoom, however some actually prefer talking on the good old phone.
It's a fact of life that many relationships will get strained at some point in time.
Often it is the result of changes in finances, health and the influence of other family members.
Tensions and resentments can often flare over the littlest of things.
Intimacy is put on hold and each partner loses the feeling of being close to one another.
My Couples Therapy offers a viable solution to get your relationship back on track by first creating an environment that is both safe and comfortable for each partner.
Many individuals and couples in the LGBTQIA community seek help with the same issues that are faced by heterosexuals - from anxiety and depression to addiction and work-related issues.
While many problems have little or nothing to do with sexual or gender orientation, many are directly connected to LGBTQIA identity.
Working with the LGBTQIA community for over 10 years, I first create a safe and comfortable environment that will allow you to speak freely - as an individual or as a couple.
If you're a member of the LGBT community and are facing issues either related to your identity or not, let me provide the help and healing support you need to create a positive outlook on your life.
Many of us will experience a period of depression and/or anxiety at some point in our lives.
And these moods will pass, usually over time.
But for others, depression and anxiety can become all-consuming and often debilitating.
Depression and anxiety seem to be related.
Many people who are suffering from depression, also suffer from anxiety.
And the fear of failure plays a big role.
Depressive people know the fear of having made big, uncorrectable mistakes in their lives and blame themselves.
With anxiety, the mind is filled with all kinds of fears - from being abandoned by a partner to losing of friends, acquaintances and close relatives.
