Kids On Up Psychotherapy
We enjoy working with school-age children, teens, young adults and their families, with a special focus on attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), "high functioning" autism/Aspergers disorder, anxiety and depression, behavioral problems, parenting help, difficult life transitions, relationship problems, body image, trauma and social skills.

Psychotherapy may be short-term or long term, individually with a therapist or as part of a therapy group (we are particularly proud of our social skills groups!). Please send us a message or give us a call, and we will guide you to the therapist who will best meet your needs. Goodness of fit with your therapist is very important, so if we are unable to match you with an appropriate therapist at Kids On Up Psychotherapy then we will try to help you find a therapist elsewhere.
Services
It is important to find a therapist who is a "good fit" for you and your family.
We are happy to consult by phone or email prior to your first appointment to answer any questions you might have about therapy, and explore whether Kids On Up Psychotherapy is right for you!
I started this practice based on my belief that with RESPECT, CURIOSITY, and timing, we can engage young people no matter how closed off they seem.
Still all are open to enticement; all crave connection.
By treating young people with RESPECT and CURIOSITY we nurture those same values in them, and in doing so help move them toward more harmonious relationships.
All therapy services are covered by Medicare and Medicaid.
Please review your policy carefully to determine your level of coverage, as copayments are sometimes due with these plans.
Payment is due in full at the time of service.
Therapy services are typically covered as "out-of-network" by private insurance plans, and you may use your receipt to request reimbursement from your carrier.
Please review your insurance policy carefully and be aware of the benefits or limitations involved.
We will not share your information with anyone, and it is unlikely that someone will access it; however, once you send this message it leaves your computer and enters a World Wide Web of computers over which neither you nor we have control; it is in theory available to be read by the system administrators of Internet Service Providers.
If you are available during these hours then a therapist may be able to schedule with you sooner.
Q: Is Kids On Up Psychotherapy accepting new clients?
You may also ask to be placed on our Waiting List.
Q: How soon can I schedule an initial appointment?
A: We are careful to schedule initial appointments only when we have availability to see you on a regular basis (usually once per week), and initial meeting are typically scheduled to take place within 2 weeks of our first communication.
If your needs require more time now than we can reasonably provide then we will refer you to a therapist elsewhere who can provide the immediate attention you deserve.
