Life can be difficult to navigate. You have your own difficulties and past. You might know what you or your child needs help with. I create a safe environment to listen and talk. I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and adults who have experienced trauma-emotional, physical, or sexual. When children don't know how to talk about their problems, I also work via play therapy to help them express themselves.
I provide a safe, non-judgmental environment to allow adults and adolescents to comfortably express and process their thoughts and feelings. I believe that therapy is a collaborative effort between the client and their therapist. It is a way for someone to explore why they may be feeling or thinking a certain way, which, in turn, can help them learn more about themselves and make positive life changes.
My areas of specialty include trauma, mood disorders and relationship conflicts, as well as grief, addiction, and aging adult life transitions. Finding pathways toward greater well being is fundamental to my practice, but I also find importance in discovering meaning in suffering as well as in joy.
