To unlock human potential through research-informed, client-directed, and compassionate counseling, psychological testing, research, and education. Cognitive Behavior Institute is proud to be the Pittsburgh Regional Clinic of the National Social Anxiety Center (NSAC). NSAC was established with the intent of making the highest quality, evidence-based psychotherapy services to treat social anxiety available to those in need.

We aim to do this through research, collaboration, dissemination to clinicians and educating the public. Visit NSAC here for more information about Social Anxiety. At Cognitive Behavior Institute, we use established treatment methods that have proven to be effective for a wide range of psychological issues. You as the consumer want to be sure that you receive the best care possible, which equals the best outcome possible.

Cognitive Behavior Institute founder Kevin Caridad is certified by the Academy of Cognitive Therapy and has proven expertise with Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy.
Services
Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy is a relatively short-term, focused form of psychotherapy for a wide range of psychological problems.
Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, or CBT, is used to help treat a range of problems such as depression, anxiety, eating disorders, and substance or alcohol abuse.
CBT is a structured goal-oriented approach focused on influencing dysfunctional thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.
Our goal is to help our clients learn to replace or transcend dysfunctional thoughts and behaviors with more realistic and useful ones.
If you were to ask an insider what sets our practice apart from others in the field, you'll probably hear "a sense of family."
What was once a seedling of change planted by Dr. Kevin Caridad, owner, and CEO, has blossomed into a multi-location, innovative treatment center that operates far more like a family than a mental health factory.
The Cranberry location was the first generation and now functions as the "parent" site to both the Mt.
Lebanon and Monroeville offices.
However, no matter which of our homes you find yourself in, rest assured that you have found somewhere safe to be heard, supported, respected, and cared for with a healthy dose of compassion and effectiveness.
Under the visionary leadership of Dr. Kevin Caridad, the doors first opened at the Cognitive Behavior Institute (CBI) as a solo practice in November of 2014.
Inspired, in part, by his dissertation topic on evidence-based practice and, in part, by his disenchantment with the status quo of mental health care, Dr. Caridad imagined a place where every client would receive V.I.P. treatment from the first phone call to discharge.
Becoming the Ritz Carlton of mental health accessible to ALL soon became one of many CBI slogans.
Bren Brown once said, We don't have to do all of it alone.
We were never meant to.
In fact, from the very moment you reach out to the Cognitive Behavior Institute for help, you are not facing your struggles unaided.
There's strength in being able to say, "I'm here to get through this, and others have come alongside me to help along the way."
In opening our third office location, we wanted to share our therapeutic secret sauce served daily in Cranberry Township and Mt.
Lebanon with kids, adults, couples, and families residing in the eastern suburbs of Pittsburgh.
Cognitive Behavior Institute is a fast-growing behavioral health organization with big dreams of changing the way people think about mental health!
3 Supporting the development of programming and services for our thriving adult & pediatric population.
