You want to find more purpose in your life. Maybe you recognize patterns that need to change but just can't figure out how to put change into action? Maybe you're looking to make healthy, positive, long-lasting changes to ensure wholeness and live a satisfying life? Maybe you've gotten through to the other side of a life-changing experience, and you are trying to rebuild and promote healing?

We are the practice for you. We offer a holistic approach to help decrease stress, enhance relationships and contribute to greater health and well-being. We also offer something different. We help you focus on how to build what's positive in your life and prevent problems before they occur. When needed, we use evidence-based treatment approaches applied to a wide variety of life problems.

Together we will help you understand and re-prioritize your values, set an action plan, and help you move onto the next, better stage of your life. The key to successful change is the relationship between the therapist and the client.
Services
Everyone is different and needs an individualized therapy or counseling approach.
At The Purpose Center, we focus on the specific problems that affect your daily life, using well-known, evidence-based techniques.
While techniques are important, authenticity, warmth, and empathy are integral for people to flourish in, and outside of, counseling.
You are a whole person-mind, body, spirit - with strengths, and weaknesses.
Like other practices, we offer traditional individual, family, and relationship therapy services for children and adults.
Sometimes you need a psychological or substance use evaluation for diagnostic clarification or to determine if there is progress in therapy.
We can also help you develop a clear path with a career assessment.
Other times, employers may require a psychological or substance use evaluation to determine readiness to return to work.
Lastly, we can help with adoption readiness evaluations.
We have a team approach to conducting evaluations.
This means that you will always have two minds on the case.
This approach helps clinicians maintain neutrality and discuss various perspectives.
Do you feel hopeless, isolated, overwhelmed or a sense of despair about what to do next?
Maybe you are feeling suicidal.
You may believe there is no reason for your depression.
Maybe you've lost a job or are experiencing shame related to life experiences.
Perhaps you are experiencing the grief and loss of a relationship.
Are you contemplating divorce, or worried about your child's reaction to your divorce?
Maybe you've tried therapy before, and you need a different, more individualized approach.
Are you experiencing difficulty dealing with anxiety, depression, or trauma?
Perhaps you're experiencing divorce, relationship difficulties or parenting stress.
If so, you're not alone.
Knowing you have a difficult road ahead, you want to address the whole self, not just parts, in order to promote healthy well-being.
You may be seeking to realign your values with how you live your life and change your thinking or behavior to match those values and goals.
With a sincere and practical approach, we can work to alleviate your struggles and to identify patterns in thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that have developed from your unique life.
Are you are looking to make healthy, positive, long-lasting changes to ensure wholeness and live a satisfying life?
You may be going through a divorce or worried about your child in a divorce; feeling signs of stress, depression and anxiety.
I hold a Master's in Professional Counseling from Liberty University.
