Our areas of specialty are: Attention Deficit Disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Developmental Delays, Anxiety, Depression, School Problems, Learning Disabilities, School Phobia/Anxiety and more. All of our doctors are also certified in school psychology, which enables us to work with your child's school if we need to and only if it is your preference.

Our doctors and child psychologists also serve as educational advocates to assist parents in understanding psychological reports and thus enabling them to fully participate in their child's CPSE or CSE meeting. Our child psychologists are conveniently located in Franklin Square, New York. Our doctors and child therapists are close to Queens and several towns in Long Island, including towns in Nassau County and Suffolk County.
Services
Child and Family Psychology is a company based in Long Island, New York, comprised of psychologists who specialize in working with children.
We are a caring and dedicated staff whose mission is to help children in need of psychological assistance.
We are passionate about our work with children and are willing to go the extra mile for a child and their family.
It is for this reason that our work sometimes takes us on the road, to playgrounds, schools, homes and CSE meetings.
That is how we initially earned the name "Psychologist on Wheels, " as we go to the places that kids need us the most!
Child-friendly psychotherapy helps children explore the relationship among their thoughts, feelings and behaviors.
Games, skits, puppets and traditional talk therapy can be used to help facilitate the process.
We use evidence-based treatments and follow a cognitive-behavioral approach to psychotherapy.
Empirically-based studies have shown that psychotherapy can be helpful in alleviating symptoms related to anxiety, defiant behavior, depression, anger, trauma and relationship issues.
Though we do not generally support attaching labels to children, there are times when a correct diagnosis can make life easier.
