As your counselor, my goal is to fully understand what you desire to achieve in therapy and to act as your ally in making that come to pass. I also prefer to act in alliance with your other health care providers to ensure optimal coordination of care. I believe that clients usually do not want a counselor to try and fix them or give advice; rather, they want an ethical, compassionate, professional partner to help them discover for themselves how to best handle the issues that they bring to therapy.
Alliance Counseling utilizes a combination of group therapy, solution-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, including DBT (dialectical behavioral therapy) Expressive/Art Therapy, and Psychoeducation to help clients achieve their goals.
