I came to respect and be drawn to the complexity of human experience and the origins of emotional and psychological difficulty as an undergraduate student at Seattle University while studying psychology. Following my undergraduate education I pursued graduate training as a Clinical Social Worker and received a Master's in Social Work Degree and pursued a career in mental health.
I continue to learn about how both experience and biology create who we are and how counseling and psychotherapy can potentially lead to profound personal change. My employment history includes working in community mental health settings, working with college students at the University of Washington, and counseling adolescents and families in public schools and correction settings.
I have continued to pursue extensive post-graduate training and consultation to further my skills as a diagnostician and clinician. For the past 30+ years I have built a private counseling and psychotherapy practice and am currently located in the downtown area of Kirkland, WA.

Create an objective and thorough understanding of you, your unique situation, your target goals and coaching needs.
Drawing on many years of experience and technical training and development, I start with a thorough and evidence based assessment, identify needs, moving to a clear and concise plan for care, then provide effective and efficient care.
I seek an understanding of your reason for seeking care and hoped for outcomes, how your difficulty has developed over time, your current status and relevant history.
The need for additional or alternative outside care resources will be assessed and discussed.
You will be provided with a plan for care including goals, recommendations for a particularly clinical approach, estimation of the length of care you would receive.
