Sadly, mental health is much neglected and over-shadowed by the emphasis on physical health in the pursuit of youthfulness and longevity. As a result, many people are anxious, depressed, suffer phobias, avoid change, seek isolation, self medicate for sleeplessness, irritability and sadness, model maladaptive behaviors for their children and most seriously deny themselves self-actualization.

Psychotherapy offers clients the opportunity to resolve problems associated with mental ill health as well as enchance the psychological lives of stable clients who seek self-insight and wish to embark on a journey of self discovery. The latter approach is referred to as positive psychology which is the enhancement and personal growth of psychologically well-adapted persons.
