Dr. Christell Lara grew up in El Paso, TX, where she attended the University of Texas at El Paso, majoring in Microbiology.
Thereafter, she began teaching Biology to high school students when her interest in working with adolescents emerged.
After several years of teaching, Dr. Lara's passion for medicine led her to attend the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, where she graduated with her medical doctorate and completed her residency training in psychiatry.
As a previous educator, Dr. Lara understands the importance of teaching and discussing clinical issues and medications with her patients.
