Brainspotting is a newer type of therapy using "focused mindfulness" on a single spot in the clients line of vision to process a particular issue.
It is hypothesized that Brainspotting accesses the subcortical region of the brain, where trauma is held, to rapidly resolve the issue.
Brainspotting was born out of EMDR Therapy mixed with Somatic Experiencing, and it is referred to as a "Brain-body based" therapy.
Brainspotting has shown to be extremely effective for a wide variety of presenting concerns, and is notably effective in treating trauma and enhancing performance.

Getting the therapy ball rolling can be intimidating, but it doesn't have to be! Knowing what to expect can make it easier.
In our free 15 minute consultation phone call, I will first ask you some questions to gather basic information about what you might want to work on in therapy, and some of your hopes and expectations around this.
I will then share with you a bit about my practice and how I see clients, and I will share my fee structure.
Then, you will be able to ask me any questions you might have.
