Options Counseling' or 'Optimal thinking to improve one's success' encapsulates my hopes for you in our therapeutic journey together. My passion as a therapist is to provide a safe, supportive, growth enhancing relationship where challenges and concerns can be explored. Using an interactive, holistic, existential approach, a wide range of life's situations and psychological concerns can be examined and new ways of thinking explored.
We will use mindfulness, the art of being present right here, right now to explore patterns and procedural ways of being in the world. With this powerfully gentle approach, clients report shifts in their behaviors and being in a very brief timeframe. I ascribe to many complimentary methods, including Positive Psychology, in our work together. I have vast knowledge of the neurobiology of behavior/thinking and often serve as 'teacher'.
Clients report improved mood, more fulfilling relationships, decreased anxiety leading to greater success reaching their goals, including mental, physical and spiritual growth and health.

Whatever you do, you need courage.
Whatever course you decide upon, there is always someone to tell you, you are wrong.
There are always difficulties arising which tempt you to believe that your critics are right.
To map out a course of action, and follow it to an end, requires some of the same courage which a soldier needs.
Peace has its victories, but it takes brave men to win them.

I invite you to take Barbara Frederickson's Positivity Ratio quiz and track where you are in terms of positive and negative emotions.
As we all 'know' we are what we think and sometimes negative 'self talk' brings us down and makes us depressed.
The positivity ratio quiz may spur you to make an appointment or to validate your beliefs.
