I am a board-certified psychiatrist in Seattle who specializes in integrated psychiatric treatment of depression and anxiety. I earned my M.D. and Ph. D. (in pharmacology) at Seoul National University, South Korea and completed psychiatric residency training at the University of Washington. I am board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and currently a clinical faculty at the University of Washington.
My previous work experiences include: working at Microsoft as a consulting psychiatrist in addition to my experiences at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, University of Washington Outpatient Psychiatry Clinic, Hall Health Mental Health Center (UW's student mental health center) and VA addiction treatment center. I believe that the first step for effective psychiatric treatment is to fully understand and appreciate not only the troubling symptoms, but also the person as a whole, with her/his unique strengths and challenges.
We will then discuss the treatment options, and together come up with an individualized treatment plan that fits best with your goals, preferences and values.

Services
I provide psychotherapy with or without medication management for adults aged 16 and older.
The initial consultation is 60 minutes in length.
This gives us a chance to get to know each other and to discuss the treatment options to address your symptoms.
If one of us does not feel that we are a well suited match to work together, I will provide you with recommendations for treatment options as well as the contact information of psychiatrists who might be a better fit for you.
If we agree to work together, we will discuss the treatment plan including the treatment mode and the frequency of follow up sessions.
