I have over 20 years of experience in the mental health field. I graduated with an MA in Counseling Psychology and Counselor Education from University of Colorado Denver and am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Professional Counselor, National Certified Counselor and an AAMFT Approved Supervisor. Credentials aside, I like to create an atmosphere that promotes both ease and challenge for my clients.
I work well with motivated people who are looking for real change in their lives and relationships. I love my work and consider it a privilege to partner in your journey of self-discovery and growth. Psychotherapy is an ever-changing field and I am committed to my own continuing education and self-development both professionally and personally.

We'll build on your strengths as a couple to disrupt these patterns and promote better understanding and engagement and decrease defensiveness and disconnection.
Couple therapy is a specialized field and is an important part of my practice.
I completed the Couple and Family Track in my graduate studies and am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.
I love working with couples and welcome the opportunity to work with you whether you are experiencing some difficulties in an otherwise healthy relationship or aren't sure you want to stay together.

When life becomes overwhelming, it can challenge your beliefs about yourself and impact your interactions with others.
We'll build on your unique strengths to affect change in your life.
Change may come in the form of new thoughts and perspectives, new feelings about yourself and others, increased ease with difficult people or situations, or different behaviors and reactions that feel healthier.
Therapy may challenge you in unexpected ways which is why I believe in self-compassion and finding ways to cultivate self-compassion both in the process of therapy and in your daily life.

Good therapists aren't created overnight; they develop over time with challenge, support and intention.
I am passionate about supervision and as part of my commitment to providing quality supervision, became an AAMFT Approved Supervisor.
This process involved supervision-specific research and coursework, experience supervising, and being mentored by experts in the field of supervision.
As a former program director, I trained and supervised graduate and doctoral-level intern therapists and have been providing supervision at various levels (pre- and post-masters and consultation to licensed clinicians) since 2009.
