I hope you will find some answers here to questions about counseling. More importantly, I hope you can get an idea of who I am and if I might be someone you would like seeing in therapy. There is a lot of research which indicates that your relationship with, and impression of your therapist is one of the most important elements of successful therapy.
I am a psychologist licensed in Michigan. I have been in private practice since 1991 and before that I worked at the Counseling Center at Michigan State University. While maintaining my private practice, I was an Assistant Professor at Michigan State University from 1999 until 2009, in the Counselor Education Masters Program. In my practice I see individuals - generally seeing individuals who are 15 years old and older.
My office is nestled in a peaceful, country setting; while still easily accessible from downtown Lansing and Michigan State University. It is the perfect place for reflection, stress relief and healing. I am in private practice with fifteen other psychologists, social workers, and marriage and family therapists.
