Services
As all insurance plans are slightly different, it is recommended that you consult with your insurance plan regarding coverage, copays, and deductibles before your first scheduled appointment.
Current clients: for any questions about billing, please contact Kelli Gates at Psychotherapist Billing Services at (541) 343-8122.
The purpose of the first session is to discuss your mental health history so that whatever your concern is that brings you to therapy is given context for Dr. Alder.
The first session is approximately 60-80 minutes long, which is longer than a typical mental health therapy session because of the in-depth nature of the questions.
We will also discuss payment and set up a regular meeting time.
Dr. Alder accepts many insurance plans and can also bill as an out-of-network provider.
Please check with your insurance provider to see if your sessions will be covered by your plan.
Dr. Alder practices from an Interpersonal Process framework, which means that she thinks about mental health concerns as related to how someone interacts with others and how those interactions shape how we view problems.
She combines this with some elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which utilizes concrete interventions to create change.
Dr. Alder believes in working together with a client to develop attainable treatment goals.
Traditionally, each therapy session lasts approximately 45-55 minutes.
Parking is free and plentiful, and the building is easily accessible via several Lane Transit District bus lines.
To schedule an appointment with Dr. Alder, please call (541) 525-0338 or e-mail at Dr. Emily.

She will need to talk with you on the phone before scheduling an initial mental health therapy appointment.
