I have been working with kids, teens, and adults for over fifteen years, helping individuals discover patterns and develop awareness into the issues that prevent them from getting what they want in life. I specialize in helping kids and teens cope with internalizing problems (meaning to turn the pain inward), such as depression, anxiety, and eating disorders, but I have also successfully served as a guide for clients of all ages on issues ranging from childhood behavior problems to career counseling.
My approach to therapy varies depending upon the unique needs of the client. For clients struggling with feelings of stress, anxiety or depression, I often use an approach that involves examining patterns of thinking and investigating the accuracy of our thoughts. Often times, we can get trapped into negative patterns of thinking that can prevent us from going out and grabbing what we deserve most in life.
This type of treatment, called Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) has been shown to be particularly effective for treating these kinds of issues.

Please contact me to discuss fees.
My hourly fee covers therapy, time spent on phone calls over 15 minutes, consultation with other professionals regarding treatment (e.g., teachers, physicians, previous treating clinicians), and the review of psychological reports and records.
All of these complementary treatment activities will be charged at a prorated amount of the hourly fee.
I do not offer a sliding scale, but I can provide services at a reduced fee under some extreme circumstances.
Typically payment is due at the time of your appointment.
