She transitioned into a career in counseling in order to serve her community. While completing her degree as a Master of Art in Counseling at Webster University in 2008, she simultaneously worked for the children in her community as a Guardian Ad Litem Volunteer.
Upon receiving her degree, she worked as a clinical counselor with Cumberland County Mental Health Center in Fayetteville, North Carolina for 4 years before relocating to San Antonio, Texas.
