MDPS offers Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) treatment to the East Bay and Contra Costa regions for those struggling with mood disorders, anxiety and trauma, addiction and symptoms of borderline personality disorder. At MDPS, we are committed to providing evidence-based treatment within an atmosphere of acceptance. Our goals are to reduce suffering and enhance the quality of life for clients and their loved ones.

We work collaboratively with clients, our team, and the therapeutic community at large. Initially, the approach was proven effective in treating individuals with extreme emotional dysregulation eg. Please note our availability is currently limited. We are welcoming new clients into our skills groups. However, we do not have openings for individual therapy.

We ask our skills group members to also be in individual therapy while attending our groups. We are happy to accept group members who see individual therapists outside of our practice. Please feel free to contact us if you are established with an individual therapist and are interested in joining a skills group.
Services
I have worked as a psychotherapist since 2005 in both agency and private practice settings.
I did my undergraduate work at UC Berkeley and my graduate work at St. Mary's College in Moraga.
I am trained in Mindfulness Based Self Compassion (MBSC), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and DBT with Prolonged Exposure.
I offer a full DBT program with consists of individual therapy, skills groups, phone coaching and being part of a consultation team.
My practice is in Danville, CA.
I earned my MA in Counseling with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy and Professional Clinical Counseling at Saint Mary's College of California.
I provide therapy in my Danville office to children, teens, adults, parents, and families.
I have been intensively trained in DBT and co-facilitate DBT adult and multi-family groups in Danville.
I have worked as a therapist in both public and private school settings, therapeutic camps (Quest Therapeutic Camps Inc), and community mental health clinics.
D. is a graduate of University of California, Davis and California School of Professional Psychology, and has been working in the field of psychology for more than 15 years.
She works with adults of all ages to help them live more satisfying lives by gaining practical tools for reducing distress and suffering, as well as increasing effectiveness and a sense of well-being.
She has expertise in helping clients with depression; anxiety including worry, panic, and traumatic stress reactions; as well as managing intense emotions and interpersonal problems.
D. is a graduate of California School of Professional Psychology (1988.)
She attended Mt.
Holyoke College, Harvard University, and, (after two years of travel and self-discovery, ) a semester at the University of California, S.C., where she completed her BA in 1983.
Dr. Wood has extensive experience providing psychotherapy to adolescents, adults and couples.
Her primary specialties are working with depression, anxiety, addiction, personality disorders and trauma.
She has been intensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy by Behavioral Tech, Kelly Koerner, PhD, Linda Dimeff, PhD and Charles Swenson, MD.
The Town of Danville[9] is located in the San Ramon Valley in Contra Costa County, California.
It is one of the incorporated municipalities in California that uses "town" in its name instead of "city".
The population was 42,039 in 2010.
