For licensed doctoral-level psychologists only (see credentialing requirements below), this is our flagship product.
Health Service Psychologists have the education, training, and experience for the independent delivery of healthcare services.
Health Service Psychologists are licensed practitioners who provide preventive, consultative, assessment, and treatment services in a broad range of settings, including independent or group practice, multidisciplinary clinics, counseling centers, or hospitals.
Health service psychologists differ from health psychologists in that their practice is not confined to the treatment of problems associated with physical health or wellbeing, and differ from other specialties in that their services are delivered in the context of the doctor/patient relationship, rather than fields such as forensic psychology.
Licensed doctoral-level psychologists who meet the National Register's credentialing requirements can apply for the HSP credential.
As one of 10,000 credentialed members of the National Register, you'll enjoy all of our benefits, including credentials banking and verification, licensure mobility, unlimited access to our continuing education program and clinical content, a profile on FindaPsychologist.org, a subscription to the Journal of Health Service Psychology, and more.
During the application process for the National Register Health Service Psychologist credential, you'll submit documentation of your education, internship, and postdoctoral experience.
Psychology doctoral students can join the Associate Program at any stage of their doctoral education.

The National Register is also in the process of designing a series of micro-certifications to enrich Associates' clinical skills and make members more competitive in the internship application process.
If you don't qualify for the National Register's HSP credential, enroll in this alternative annual membership.
The National Register Practice Academy is designed to enrich clinical practice across behavioral healthcare professions.
Practice Academy members have access to all National Register education and professional development products and partnership programs.
Practice Academy members do not bank credentials with the National Register and thus do not have access to licensure mobility or other verifications to healthcare organizations.
