Olympic Psychology Services
We provide counseling and treatment for a wide variety of mental health issues, and also administer psychological tests and assessments. We provide services for children, teens, adults and families, and also offer couples counseling. We are a local, Puget Sound-area behavioral health clinic, not a huge, impersonal company based in another state.

While we can see our clients via telehealth when necessary, we also believe in meeting with our clients face-to-face when possible, unlike large, online-only therapy clearinghouses. We live and work in this community. We have deep roots here, and we support various local nonprofit organizations. At OPS we listen to our clients with care and compassion.

We utilize a variety of treatments based on the latest mental health research, aimed at achieving lasting, effective results. We do not conduct parenting or custody-related evaluations, nor do we accept court-mandated evaluation referrals. We are currently scheduling appointments in-office, OR via our secure and easy-to-use video conferencing platform.

Olympic Psychology Services is located in the historic "Park Place Building" at the north end of downtown Tacoma, adjacent to Fireman's Park.
The building is quickly and easily accessible from both I-5 and I-705.
Please note that once inside our building, we have three different suites of offices: the North Suite, the South Suite, and the Upstairs Suite.
The three are not connected, and each one has its own waiting room.
It is best if you know ahead of time which suite you are going to, but if you end up in the incorrect suite, we will always come and find you.
Isn't it kind of weird or strange to talk about my personal issues with someone I don't know?
For the lay consumer, I know there can be some confusion about all of the different titles used by mental health practitioners.
Below, I have made a chart to define some of the confusing terms and initials.
One good way around the confusion is to ask your family physician for a referral when you need mental health assessment or care.
In any case, do not be afraid to ask mental health practitioners about their education and training; most of us are used to fielding these types of questions.
At Olympic Psychology Services, we do our best to provide superior care at the most reasonable possible cost to the client.
Premera Blue Cross Most plans.
We do not currently contract with Medicaid.
However, we are currently in the process of contracting with Medicare; this process may take several months.
Our standard rates are $225 for the initial "intake" interview, and $175 for subsequent appointments.
This is what we bill your insurance company; you are responsible only for your copayment.
