As a licensed Infant and Child Psychologist, I provide consultation and psychotherapy to families with babies and children, with a primary focus on pregnancy through age 10. Individualized to the developmental capacities of each child, as well as the values and culture of each family. DEVELOPMENTAL GUIDANCE to help them navigate transitions and challenges that are influencing their children's social-emotional development and well-being.

CHILD AND FAMILY PSYCHOTHERAPY to address issues once social-emotional and behavioral patterns have become relatively set. DIAGNOSTIC CLARIFICATION to ensure that any formal diagnostic labels that are applied to their children are accurate and useful. REFLECTIVE CONSULTATION when families are not experiencing any difficulties but want to fully embrace the unique opportunities for growth that are possible during that special stage of family life while children are young.

Whatever the priority, I value the opportunity to partner with children and families, to learn together and to share what the field of psychology has to offer.

When choosing a psychologist to work with your child and family, it is important to find someone you "click with" and like.
It is also helpful to know about their training and background.
She earned a Ph.

Assessment: Children and their families participate in a preliminary assessment when we begin.
This process emphasizes strengths and includes interviews, questionnaires, games and challenges, review of records, and real-time observation of skills in a variety of areas.
Positive features of children's families, neighborhoods and communities are identified, as well as challenges to development and well-being.
I also visit with children in their homes, child care settings, and schools in keeping with their family's preferences.
RELATIONSHIP-ORIENTED: Most especially in the early years, babies and children develop the core capacities of mental health through their close relationships with parents, family members, and other loved ones.
Any effort to provide more intensive support - including psychological assessment and intervention - must therefore be a partnership and genuine collaboration with parents and families.
All children have gifts & talents with great potential to shape their own lives and to better our community.
