Dr. Hemmy is a licensed clinical health psychologist in the states of Ohio and Maryland. She has provided individual, couples, family, and group therapy since 2007. Dr. Hemmy is equipped to help you navigate various life challenges like interpersonal conflicts, depressive and anxiety symptoms, chronic health conditions, and problematic substance use.
Dr. Hemmy completed her dual doctorates in Clinical Psychology (PsyD) and Public Health, Preventive Care (DrPH) from Loma Linda University. She also has a masters degree in marriage and family therapy. After earning her degrees and completing her internship at the Cincinnati VAMC, she received additional postdoctoral training at the Washington DC VAMC, where she later worked as an integrated health psychologist.

In 2016, Dr. Hemmy accepted a position at the Cincinnati VA Medical Center (VAMC), where she is currently providing evidence-based treatment to veterans struggling with substance use, chronic health conditions, and co-morbid mental health diagnoses.

Dr. Hemmy provides collaborative and evidence-based therapy for individuals and couples in Hyde Park, Cincinnati.
After a comprehensive initial assessment, Dr. Hemmy will develop a treatment plan based on identified behavioral health goals and treatment preferences.
Dr. Hemmy also utilizes regular assessment measures throughout treatment to determine progress.
Payment is fee for service and is collected at each session.
Dr. Hemmy accepts Lyra Health insurance.
She also provides an invoice upon request that many of her clients file with their insurance companies to receive partial reimbursement.
