Preserving Home and Family is a collaborative initiative between Associates in Counseling and Psychotherapy (ACP) and Open Door Youth Services (ODYS) striving to build the community partnerships that provide a needed continuum of care. ACP and ODYS, along with resources from additional community providers, offer a menu of services accessible through the single "Comprehensive Home Based Services" contract.

Services available to the entire family unit are designed to meet the unique needs identified for each individual referral. All services provided are Trauma Informed and delivered from a fundamentally strength-based perspective. ACP/ODYS' clinical services have been developed through a Motivational Interviewing (MI) approach and are fundamentally structured to evoke the desire for change and encourage client investment in services.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a primary intervention for services to clients working with ACP/ODYS and, when relevant, the specific approach of Trauma Focused CBT (TF-CBT) will be utilized to address the need for change with clients who have experienced significant trauma.
