Through extensive study and experience, I have developed a comprehensive toolbox of treatment options that embraces both traditional and alternative methodologies. This allows me to customize treatment to my client's specific needs so that it is both effective and cost-efficient. I help clients deal with their current crises by developing solutions to resolve them.

I help empower my clients to attain their personal life goals, to achieve a greater sense of well being, to enjoy more loving relationships, and to live fuller more rewarding lives. I have been providing psychotherapy and counseling services to clients in the Santa Cruz and the greater SF Bay Area for the past thirty years.

Short-term therapy helps clients deal with an immediate issue such as divorce, problems with children and adolescents, death, substance abuse etc. In-depth therapy helps clients achieve long-term personal growth resulting in greater happiness and more satisfying relationships.Helps couples to understand the dynamics of their relationship, promotes better understanding of each other's differences, and more effective communications.
Services
Some clients need objective assistance and new skills to cope with a pressing issue.
Examples include: divorce, infidelity, the death of a loved one, problems with children and adolescents, substance abuse, physical or emotional illness or change in employment.
Short-term therapy tends to be very focused and the necessary steps become clear after a meeting or two.
Dr. Franklin listens objectively, helps clients define their goals, and teaches them the tools and techniques that they need for success.
