In therapy, my goal is to assist you in addressing issues that are difficult to confront on your own, which often manifest as anxiety, depression, or dissatisfaction in relationships and/or your career. I approach our work together collaboratively, through helping you to articulate your thoughts and feelings in a safe, confidential and nonjudgmental environment.

My task is to encourage you to express yourself, to clarify your goals and to explore the obstacles that have held you back. I listen, reflect and use clinical methods based on my training and expertise. I strive to help you develop strategies that support the progress you desire. I listen for the patterns in your life and help you identify them so that you can develop a clearer understanding of your life experiences and develop new, more satisfying ways of relating.

My understanding as a therapist is informed by my training and clinical experience, but also grounded by a long-held commitment to my own psychological work and development.
Services
In individual therapy, I see my role as a guide and facilitator to help you discover the resources within to become an active agent of your own healing and growth.
You'll develop new awareness about the patterns in your life that no longer serve you and new skills to transform those patterns.
Do you keep things more on the surface and superficial with your friends and relationships?.
Are you extra critical of yourself when you are not perfect and become mean or unsympathetic to yourself?.
I will listen closely and respond to you because I value what you have to say.
Among life's most challenging tasks is respectfully resolving conflict without breaking connection with the other.
All couples experience conflict, it is a common and healthy aspect of any relationship.
The issue, however, is how couples resolve conflict, which cannot only be problematic, but reflective of deeper issues troubling the relationship, such as trust, dependency, fear of closeness and vulnerability, or fear of abandonment.
In my work with couples, the interpersonal dynamics are explored and the impediments to intimacy and connection are identified and worked through in a safe, honest space.
Spending time with a therapy dog can produce a number of mental health benefits, from enhanced relaxation to reduced stress and anxiety.
Therapy dogs are carefully selected dogs that undergo intense, individualized training.
Research has shown that spending just 12 minutes with a therapy dog can lower anxiety by 24% and reduce levels of the stress hormone epinephrine by 17%.
I have personally experienced the multitude of benefits a therapy dog can provide.
As a result, I chose to certify my mixed breed dog, Ginger, who went through the rigorous training to achieve certification by The Delta Society.
