My life's work is about supporting you in finding your best options whether that's in individual and family therapy, addictions counseling or Equine Somatic Psychotherapy. My approach, much like that of a nurturing parent, is to guide my clients toward confident self-sufficiency and independence based in a true love of self. My goal is to eliminate the need for my position.

I'm there to hold up a mirror for you to see what I see; to understand what you're doing and what the message is that motivates you to do that thing. It's usually something you do over and over again, isn't it? Our work will provide you with tools; things you can practice until you find yourself functioning in a new way that serves you rather than makes your life harder.

Then, hopefully, after some time, you'll realize you don't need me anymore.
Services
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I've had a private psychotherapy practice since 1996.
My goal in working with clients is to assist you in resolving those issues and behaviors that get in the way of having the life and relationships you desire.
My education and years of experience guiding others as well as moving along my own path has facilitated clarity, direction and understanding.
I'm honored by the opportunity to walk with you along your path to self discovery and choice.
Through my love of horses and my experience with their healing skills, I have added Equine Somatic Psychotherapy (ESP), created by me and a colleague, to my practice.
This encounter between human and horse can lead to amazing "aha" moments in therapy.
The mission of ESP is to facilitate emotional, physical, and spiritual healing through relational encounter between humans and horses.
It involves individual psychotherapy, group workshops and retreats, corporate team building and bonding for horse and owner.
As an addictions specialist, I have worked with over a thousand substance addicts and abusers in hospitals, treatment facilities and individual therapy.
I was Director of the John Lucas Residential Treatment Center and Manager of the Behavioral Health Unit of Spring Branch Medical Center.
My experience also includes work with indigent clients in the Women & Infants program at the Houston Recovery Campus and The Prevention and Recovery Center - Memorial Hermann.
I've worked with recovering addicts on trauma, chronic pain and family dynamics.
As a Mitigation Specialist since 1998 in the Harris County, Fort Bend County, and Montgomery County courts, I've worked as an expert in criminal court.
The criminal cases I've worked on include capital murder, murder, sexual abuse and DWI/DUI.
As a member of the defense team, I research and evaluate mitigating factors that contribute to the attorneys' ability to fully represent the clients' best interests.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Texas, I've worked in family court on cases of divorce and custody of minor children.
In business and corporate settings, sometimes a company doesn't know how to access the talent, creativity and productivity of its staff.
I can help you capitalize on your company's greatest asset, people.
Employees want to know how to communicate understanding and be understood.
They want to maintain professional boundaries and manage conflict with coworkers.
They want to function in a team environment of cooperation, solution and support.
They want to have choices.
We can teach your people ways to increase productivity by seeing themselves and their dynamics as within their power.
