What is Divergent Worlds? I created my practice to create a space where you can come and be yourself, find yourself, and become yourself. Divergent Worlds recognizes that we all need a space to be real, even and especially as we are exploring what that might mean.

Through therapy for clients, supervision for licensed and pre-licensed associates, and consultation with and for other therapists, we all at Divergent Worlds envision facilitating each person in finding, connecting with, and asserting their personal and professional identities, values, and selves.I am so excited to welcome Claudette Largess to our practice.

Claudette is a psychology associate, she is accepting new clients, and she is offering sessions remotely in California. For more information you can find more about her on her page Claudette Largess. I am open to meeting with new people, couples, and multi-partner relationships to start therapy. However, my schedule is very full. I will do my best to accommodate your scheduling needs or refer you to other therapists who might be a great fit for you.
Services
Divergent Worlds includes me, and associates here to collaborate and learn from like-spirited people.
We all provide therapy in our unique styles, and a range of assessments, letters and documentation, and advocacy.
My background and training draws heavily from depth psychotherapy theories (how our childhood experiences, histories, and relationships influence our current, past, and future perceptions and experiences), and relational theories (the ways relationships with ourselves and others impact, influence, and inspire us).
I offer sessions using a variety of formats: Remotely using phone or video platforms, outdoors where we meet outside or stroll through the neighborhood, or in person (when I return to the office).
In sessions, we may use EMDR, Brainspotting, creative arts, talking, and movement.
I start with a foundation of talk therapy and holding space, and add in those outlets and potentially others as we explore the best ways for us to work together.
All relationships can have strengths and challenges, and we can use therapy to address the needs of your unique relationship.
There are several areas where I have significant additional expertise and experience, including training and consulting.
Trauma can mean so many different things.
It can refer to the experiences and impacts of one specific event, a relationship or series of relationships, a complex family situation, or former or ongoing oppression.
I have extensive experience in working with individuals with recent, ongoing, or historical experience with traumatic events, relationships, family histories and stories, and community histories and stories.
I maintain a core belief that supportive psychotherapy and psychological services should be available for individuals from a wide range of backgrounds and economic circumstances.
Privilege, oppression, and life circumstances can impact income and access, and I strive to recognize and address this in my practice.
I maintain a sliding fee scale, and reserve 1/3rd of my of schedule for people who are using the sliding scale for a reduce fee.
I have adapted my scale to our location and cost of living as best I can even though it makes it look ridiculous.
I have a client portal where you can digitally and securely complete the documentation I use in my practice.
You can access that portal and complete the documentation by going to the Simple Practice Client Portal page and creating your account.
These forms are listed here so they are always available and so that you can review them and know what to expect.
The documents here are intended to be a reflection of you, and you can complete them in any way that best represents your identity, history, and experience.
