I am a Licensed Psychologist and Health Service Provider Massachusetts Lic. Utilizing psychological science, I work to promote mental health and wellness in 3-17 year olds. I invest a great deal of time with young patients and their families up front, which allows for well-informed, high quality interventions. I use psychological measurement tools to support diagnostic clarity.

Treatment with children and teens includes a holistic case management component, meaning that I directly coordinate with parents, educators, school counselors, tutors, physicians, nurse practitioners, and other professionals, as needed, pulling all of these entities together, often leading to a better understanding of the vulnerabilities and strengths of the child in context.

This can allow for a more tailored and efficient sort of care all around. My primary theoretical orientation is Cognitive-Behavioral. I typically offer Exposure with Response Prevention (ERP) during the course of treatment. I can deliver parent training and parent guidance, and do so when it is in the interest of the patient.
Services
The process of obtaining psychological services for a child typically begins with a call by a parent or guardian seeking services on behalf of the child.
During that call, I ask the parent(s) questions, answer questions, and review office policies and procedures.
I often take time during the call to ensure I understand the referral questions, know the context in which the child is struggling, and determine if my expertise fits the needs of the patient.
If we both think it makes sense to proceed, I will give parent(s) access to contracts and forms to complete, and we will consider scheduling an introductory session.
Services are for children (3-17 years old) and adults.
In cases of unusual financial hardship, I may be willing to negotiate a fee adjustment or payment installment plan.
I do not accept insurance because I would rather devote my time and attention to my clients rather than to their insurance companies.
For well over a decade, I held various leadership roles in professional organizations; authored papers in scholarly journals; presented regularly to local, national, and international audiences; and conducted research.
Those activities deepened my knowledge of clinical training, organizational dynamics, school communities, co-parenting, and childhood development.
At this time, most of my professional life is spent on delivering patient care and collaborating with colleagues for the benefit of my patients.
Before treatment of a child may begin, I will ask you to review several policies and procedures.
If you are comfortable with my policies and procedures, then we will schedule an introductory session to further determine fit.
Together, HIPAA and Massachusetts Laws require that Psychologists provide prospective and current patients information and choices surrounding mental health treatment.
I had an opportunity to provide community education through Fusion Burlington in a live zoom-based webinar titled "Parents, Educators, and Children Striving for Balance this Fall."
I was joined by our host, Matt Shea from fusion Burlington and privileged with an engaging and enthusiastic audience.
The talk focused a lot on parents' decision-making for best supporting a child's emotional wellness moving towards the fall session of school in the midst of remote and hybrid models of learning.
I discussed the importance of circadian rhythm's, human relationships, challenging growth opportunities for growing capacities and skills, and educational endeavors.
